After a clever game of cloak and dagger and a host of hazy backroom meetings, we are thrilled to finally announce that Asheville, NC based RBTS WIN have officially joined forces with Grip Tapes. The band's all-new full length album, Palm Sunday, will be available on LP and digitally this Spring.

Grip Tapes is excited to announce the release of Twilight for Gladys Bentley, the debut solo album from Durham, NC-based poet and musician Shirlette Ammons. The album is a re-imagining of the trail-blazing blues singer and bulldagger, Gladys Bentley. Shirlette says, "I wanted to create a record that uses hip hop, the music of posturing and prowess of my day, to channel the memory of Gladys Bentley.
Heads on Sticks is hard at work finishing up their latest full-length that will be out in early 2013.

Gross Ghost is the latest band to take part in The Independent's ongoing Carolina Covers series featuring videos of local musicians covering fellow NC based artists.
For their turn under the covers, Gross Ghost landed on covering "Long Flight" from the always amazing (and beyond nice guys) of Future Islands.
